The Largest Photo Studio in Eastern Europe Opens in Kyiv

To build Lightfield Studios, Depositphotos renovated two production units of the Kyiv furniture factory with a total area of 2,500 square meters.

On April 11, Depositphotos team opened one of the largest studios in Europe. Lightfield Studios is the third in size after two other studios — Amazon in London and IKEA in Älmhult, Sweden.

Lightfield Studios offers photographers 14 studio areas, numerous decorations, and Lightfield team: professionals in casting, post production, make-up artists, stylists, and producers, who will help photographers organize their work, so that they would concentrate only on their shoot.

“We want to attract more talented authors with unique style to the industry. There are many of them both in Ukraine and abroad — we want to have them under one roof, so that they would constantly work together, learn from each other, and feel comfortable. It will be a creative space which puts the photographer in the first place,” says Dmitry Sergeev, Depositphotos founder.

He says that the studio will also work as a photo production: “We hope to gain a considerable market share in advertising photography in Ukraine, the CIS, and Eastern Europe. We are confident of our success in this market.”

Lightfield Studios will also be an education center and a venue for important photography events. The studio already hosts Bird in Flight photo school workshops and talks of famous photographers.
